Group presentations April 28th

Group 1: Altered State of Legality by Spencer, Thai and Melissa
+  Had a lot of background information
-   Very little verbal citations when presenting
+  Great use of charts and pictures/visuals
-  Seemed like at certain points during the presentation, people didn’t know exactly what they were talking about and read off the slides or when it was their turn they would look at each other for confirmation.
-  Wasn’t too sure when to go on to the next slide.
+  Good volume (projection of voice)
+  Showed different viewpoints on their topic.
+  Good connection with audience in bringing everyone together to think about how when we took the drugs and alcohol class in the beginning of the spring semester.
+  Good conclusion: how you tied everything together. Very strong.
For the arrests, how much does a person have to have in their possession to get arrested?
What are some of the negative effects of the use of marijuana?

Group 2: Show Me the Money by Dana, Thor, Ben and JB
-   Wasn’t too sure who was to go next during the presentation. Some read off of the slides
+  But got it down as the presentation went on
-   In the beginning there was no verbal citation
+  but towards the end started to verbally cite
+   Good background information – felt that those who are college student athletes were smart to talk about their own personal experience with the topic and talking about what they know.
-   There was a lot of text on the slides.
+   Good visuals and explaining the pictures
Money distribution from who to the athlete(s)?
+  Like the use of offering different modes of changes that can be made with the NCAA
+ For the most part – very good volume and voice projection
+  Good arguments for and against.
How would college student-athletes getting paid change the dynamic of school and playing in prioritization?
How about for those who get red-shirted, do they get paid the same as the starters?

Group 3: Fast Food in America by Matt, Jose and Brett
-  In the beginning it seemed like they didn’t know who was saying what. But got it down as the presentation went on.
+  Like how there’s not all text on the slides and there were pictures
+  Good voice projection
+  verbally cited quotes or statistics from the articles
+  Good use of humor throughout the presentation
+  Good job connecting to the audience because this topic is very relatable because everyone likes or eats fast food (plus the interaction and example with Doyle).
+  Presented different point of views
+ Liked how you ended it with your view points on the subject.
